URSULA UPM
Universal Packaging Machine
The URSULA UPM – Universal Packaging Machine is a High Output Automated Prescription Packaging System for Bottles, Vials and Totes. This system is currently running in mail order and central fill pharmacies at rates of 500–600 confirmed packages per hour and higher. The fully automated system packs prescriptions and patient-specific documents in bags that are printed on-demand at throughputs of up to 8 times that of a packaging clerk in a high output pharmacy. Easily interfaced to tote and bottle lines or puck based conveyance systems, the URSULA UPM provides the accuracy, throughput and efficiency of space to optimize your central fill or mail order pharmacy. TPA automated packaging systems are the industry standard in high output pharmacies. Our multi-stage verification process remains the most accurate and efficient system available. Each patient-specific bar-code is automatically scanned and matched to an order. Patient specific documents and packaging are automatically printed, scanned and verified. All prescriptions and auto-fold documents are automatically inserted into the package and the patient's order is automatically sealed. If any of the scans do not read or do not match, the system automatically rejects the order for review by a technician. |
